CAN LIFE REALLY GO ON?

Life really goes on they say,
Then why am I waiting here though you are gone?
Seven years and counting
I haven’t changed,
I still stand by my window
Hoping someday you will pass by,
Someday I will see your face,
Perhaps catch your lies
Or even see through your disguise,

Can life really go on?
For mine hasn’t been able to…
For I haven’t changed,
It’s still my pillow that gets soaked by my tears,
It’s still my shoulders the night uses to cry,
My heart – an open valley of wilderness
Where all the truths of life come to die,

It’s still me running away from the truth
For no matter what happens
No matter how much time passing me by,
And life going on,
I still haven’t been able to move on…

And here I am thinking,
Can life really go on?
