Any form of life is a result of millions of years of evolution after Nature tried many improvements upon its products.

Nature is the supreme teacher and role model in this world. If we observe keenly we will realise that no organ in a living being, however small and ostentatious, is “superfluous.”

Why are we provided five fingers while one or two would have served just as well? For an answer, don’t look for scientific explanation, you try to work with four fingers, keeping the fifth idle, you will find you are disabled so much. Why do we have a pair of kidney when just a healthy one could have been okay? Why, now we come to think of it, one eye and one ear would have saved facial space, wouldn’t it?

Every organ has a crucial role to play. So when a woman is bestowed with two breasts, they are obviously for providing nourishing meal to the new born. And, Nature gives a lactating bother many allowances that men or non-nursing women do not get.

1.Several studies have proved duration of lactation is associated with a reduced risk of heart disease, and less risk of endometrial and ovarian cancer.

2.Mothers who breastfeed longer than eight months also benefit from bone re-mineralisation and breastfeeding diabetic mothers require less insulin.

3.The hormones released during breastfeeding strengthen the maternal bond.

4.WHO points out, “Breastfeeding is the ideal way of providing infants with the nutrients they need for healthy growth and development.” More important, perhaps for the modern working women, is the medical theory that a lactating mother is less likely to get pregnant and thus spacing kids becomes easier.

There are more benefits for mother and baby. But suffice it to say barring those suffering from TB or AIDS and those under heavy drugs, all nursing mothers have a win-win situation when it comes to breastfeeding the baby.

The young generation is not unaware of these facts, and yet why is there an increasing reluctance to breastfeed? The answer is a false belief that feeding a baby would lead to misshape of the young woman’s breasts. If body shape takes precedence over feeding one’s own flesh and blood, all one can say is that sorry, you don’t know what your are missing.

All women in this green planet can afford to spare a couple of months for the newborn and it’s a woman’s privilege, her alone, to feed her baby.

From August 1, every year, the WHO-led World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated to highlight the benefits of feeding the just born with Mom’s milk. Let us celebrate motherhood with Nature.

At the outset, let me make it clear, I’m all for making money which is a dharma, not a sin. But, when we realize the human body is fundamentally a machine fueled by thoughts, and it calls for repairs and maintenance, one must pause and listen around.

Scientific proofs abound on the mellowing influence of art and culture. Music, natural scenery, painting, humour, cartoons, games and literature (book) enhances one’s sensitivity to surroundings and sharpen creative thinking.

And, in Bangalore city of India, is a living proof who, having conquered the super-competitive US tech field says, the secret of his good health and high productivity is his daily helping of melody and cartoons. A sense of humour, a hearty laugh and an earful of melody kill the strain in business and refresh his mind the same way a bicarbonate soda drives out the poisonous gas of the stomach in a magnificent eruption.

Not to hold the mystery any longer. Ashok Kheny, whose company Nandi Infrastructure Corridor enterprises (NICE) builds the Mysore-Bangalore route is the chief patron of India’s first Cartoon Academy and gallery that encourage the rib-ticklers around the vast country of India to come out with the daily dose of laughter. “My sense of humor and the ability to enjoy a good laugh at my cost or at somebody else’s makes it easier to cope with the daily challenges,” he says.

To those Kheny does not ring a bell. Imagine a fibre optic cable network between Washington D.C. and Jacksonville (Florida) spanning some 1,250 km laid in three months flat. Or, building the first and only people mover transit system using linear induction motors in Detroit. Better still, imagine building the first trans-Atlantic fiber network between New York city and Los Angeles alongside the railway line. The US administration recognised Kheny’s contribution and in 1987, President Ronald Reagan honored this little giant with the ‘Outstanding Businessman of the Year of a Minority Community Award’.

Kheyny says he scans the newspapers and magazines everyday for a cartoons and caricatures to refresh his mind. A grueling day lies ahead where shouting, mooing, trouble-shooting and heart-burning are the daily chore. But he braces for it all with a dose of good old melody–both Indian and Western, a cartoon and a couple of good jokes, to be savored with the BF and dinner.

There was an array of services like tours and travels, adventure packages, home stays etc made with sustaining the environment in mind. The tour packages etc caters to the general masses but the listed sites and places are all ecological sanctuaries protected under the Indian Laws.

As mentioned in the site-“Ecotourism is entirely a new approach in tourism”. It aims to take care not to disturb the integrity of the ecosystem, while creating economic opportunities that make conservation and protection of natural resources advantageous to the local people.

A new thing was Agritourism as mentioned in the site. It involves living in a farm, experiencing rural life, tasting local food and even a spot of farming. It provides a welcome escape from a daily hectic life in the peaceful rural environment and gives a good taste of the Indian village life.

The site is user friendly and highly informative. Besides this provides translation options in 6 international languages. But the site holds just as much appeal for the Indian traveler as it does for the international one. Way to go!

I thought I’d just drop a quick post explaining what social media is, and what type of content social media sites include. Social media has grown at an almost unsustainable rate over the last few years. The likes of HI5, Bebo and Myspace now seem to be things of the past with the likes of Facebook and Twitter now running the show. Of course, there is plenty of room for more social networks as long as they are unique and offer the users something useful.

Personally I used to hate social networks. Now there are so many features that it is simply not a viable option for me not to be using them. It saves me mixing personal and business emails together and allows me to contact people I have not see in ages!

The great thing with Social Media is they are interactive with the user/reader. Most allow the user/reader the chance to edit or post their views and comment on others views relating to a particular subject. The constant participation relating to topics make them extremely popular, with most people book marking at least 5-10 social media websites that they visit on a regular basis!

I don’t think any web master will disagree with the fact that the internet is content driven. People look for information and web masters provide it via their websites. It seems to be a more frequent occurrence that the websites providing the so called useful information are filled with junk – but why?

Becoming an affiliate for a product or service is bigger now than it has ever been. Internet marketers find a product they think will be big and they sign up to become an affiliate. They fill their websites with key worded information which allows them to bring in targeted traffic. They’ll use a resource box in articles stating things like ‘click here for more information’ but all you are likely to get is a pre-sell sales page, trying to sell you a product that is ‘guaranteed’ to make you $10,000 per week.

These people are not interested in providing you with the information you require. Instead they are following plans laid out by cheap and nasty e-book creators that promise to make them significant amounts of cash every single week.

This is not a rant, but just an outlook. I’m finding it harder and harder to find out useful information relating to certain topics and I’m just wondering where the internet will be within a few years. It’s already 50% filled with rubbish – will it be 100% filled with rubbish within the next 10 or even 5 years!? No doubt it will be so much worse than it already is!

Cherry are a new mobile phone operator. They were spotted at a entrepreneur meetup BetaGroup , where five start up business were given the chance to pitch their products and services. The audience was filled with 200 people in the industry, which meant that a successful pitch could pay out dividends. They were the last of five to produce their pitch and definitely sparked quite a bit of interested to say the least.

Cherry actually had a fairly unique pitch, offering to “revolutionize telecom services and technology” for the future. The CEO introduced himself then proceeded to call a member of the audience (projecting all events on the big screen for everyone to see). This is fairly basic stuff, but he then went on to say that he wasn’t actually using a SIM card I.e.: He was calling without actually being a regular subscriber to a service provider.

The service allows users to call each other over Wi-Fi or infact over GSM if there is a SIM card. If a SIM is not present, then users can still contact each other over a wireless internet connection.

Of course, whilst the above is extremely useful, it is not really unique, as other companies are already using and offering this as a service. The unique thing about Cherry is that it offers the ability to switch over from Wi-Fi, GSM or to a wireless internet connection without any interruption of service, which can obviously be a good money saver in the long term.

New features included a live stream box. This is FaceBooks’ second social networking widget which allows users to connect to each other and then share and post updates from an application or Facebook Connect website.

Alongside this, a new feature has been implemented that will enable FQL queries even more powerful than they ever were. This will mean that users can send a batch of queries and results can be obtained quickly and easily.

That’s the technical side of things! The last few months FaceBook has managed to completely overhaul their site. A lot of people disagreed with the decision to change the FaceBook lay out to a new one, but the visitor count still continues to rise. Developers in the application section are hard at work, with 100’s of new applications coming online ready for users to access every single day.

The last batch of updates, announcements and new features were implemented in June, so it is expected that some more new features and updates will be coming to the surface extremely soon.

Google have not been developing their Blog Search Service particularly well since it’s originally introduction. Now the search engine giant has suggested that it has added a number of additional features which will enable users to access the blogs a lot easier. The service was originally introduced back in January 2008, so it is a long overdue revision of the whole package.

The new updates will enable all blogs to be accessed. Not only this but there will be two new features implemented which include both a RSS feed option and Atom feed option. Of course, this is likely to increase the traffic to the blogs huge amounts, as each blog reader will be able to subscribe to each blog and add its content to the likes of Google Reader and other features offered within the Google Hub. So far the response to the revisions has been quite incredible, and the number of blogs on the Google hub has also increased over the last few days.

Something else that is likely to increase Googles’ popularity is the new Hot Queries feature. This is a feature that searches popular blogs and topics and allows all users to access them. This enables blog posters the chance to be rewarded for their efforts. There are hundreds of thousands of blogs that feature some extremely good news releases or even information, but they simply don’t get the coverage they deserve. The new Hot Queries feature from Google will enable them to get the coverage they deserve.

The cracked down on Google comes after its failure to make a success of a decision about compulsorily installing a filtering software on all computers sold from July 1. The recommended software, called Green Dam Youth Escort, has thrown up a variety of flaws that will make it possible for hackers to invade the computers of users.

“We have been continually working to deal with pornographic content and material that is harmful to children on the web in China,” the Google statement said.
