It might have come to the point where you are getting slightly bored of sharing your Tweets with friends of family. After all, there is only so much you can say in 140 characters on a daily basis. It may have come to the point where you need something else, and luckily, Twitter developers have developed exactly that!

The newest feature is the Twtgal, which allows all users to upload multiple pictures in the form of a gallery. The gallery can be posted as a Tweet in a shortnered url, which means all your followers will be able to view it. Of course, there are other phot sites such as Photobucket and Flikr that you could use instead, but why not just keep everything in the same place and save your self the hassle of logging in and out of various accounts!

Of course, the problem here for Twitter developers is that a lot of people already have most of their albums over at Flickr or Photobucket. It is a slow and steady process but my guess is over the coming months people will start to transfer them over the Twiier. All you need to do is bookmark your admin link and access your free account. You’ll have access to 14 images in the free acount which is limited to 2mb for each picture. Upload them in any size under 2mb and they’ll automatically be resized to 800 x 600. Don’t waste any time and get started sooner rather than later!

Twitter started out as a basic status posting community. You were able to let friends and family how you were feeling, what you were up to, or even where your going in the next few days. The problem is with a lot of social networking sites, is that they don’t build on their innovation and make something of their current portal. The likes of MySpace, Bebo and Hi5 are all perfect examples. They didn’t bother to continuously develop new features based on their original idea and before they knew it, the likes of FaceBook and Twitter had taken over the social networking scene.

Take Twitter for instance, they have recently added an interactive new feature. The new feature allows all users to share all their valuables. This means they can send and receive the likes of videos, photos, and documents all via Twitter. In the future Twitter are planning to introduce a live feed on your profile which will show a live webcam stream via a range of Tweets. So you’ll have your very own Tweetcam! Just remember not to get to addicted to it!

Basically the new TweetMojo allows you expand on all your Tweets and get that little bit extra out of Twitter. If you are already a Twitter fan, then this seems like the perfect development. If your not then Twitter then just imagine how good it would be to be able to share all the above features with friends and family on a daily basis!

Airlines are the latest sector of the business world that are deciding to take advantage of Twitter. They are looking at increasing their revenue streams by offering twitter only deals that will be known as ‘Twares’ and ‘Cheeps’.

It is United Airlines and JetBlue Airwards that have introduced the new fares. If a user signs up as a follower, or even to their updates, then they will have access to the ridiculously low priced deals. According to both companies, most times their deals last for just 1-2 hours. This is definitely not a lot of time, but the fares are ridiculously low, so an instant decision should be made.

Of course, this helps both the companies as well. Whilst they don’t exactly get a lot of revenue from selling tickets for $9.00 one way, it does help fill up their flights, which adds up over the course of a year or so.

The problem a lot of Twitter followers are finding is that they can’t actually find any deals. Like the airlines say the deals only last 1-2 hours, so you either need to be stuck to your screen, or be extremely lucky and log on just as they Tweet a deal.

If you are into impulse buying and are looking for a cheap get-a-way, then this might be the perfect way to do it. Just remember though, even if you find a deal, you’ll probably have to make a decision within a few minutes, but anything up to an hour, so you need to make sure you plan all your arrangements before finding a deal!

Music is a big thing. Every single person, whether they like it or not, gets exposed to music every single day. Of course a lot of people like to create their own music or even let people know what they are listening to. What better way to do so than Twitter itself!?

Twitter is now associated with Swg.fm, which is possibly the best way to share the music you have made or the music you love among your friends and family. It is a simple and easy process to use, so no one has an excuse not to be sharing their music. It is a case of entering an artists name, their song title, your Twitter name and from their, just send it to the Twitter/Swg.fm database. The original concept of Twitter was for the likes of friends and family to be able to connect instantly. Of course, you could just use a phone, but then you can only interact with one person at a time. Every member of Twitter is a consumer to one business or other, so it was only a matter of time before businesses and consumers became connected via Twitter.

Different businesses are using Twitter in different ways to connect with their customers, but they all are increasing their brand awareness. It isn’t just small, or just large businesses that are using Twitter either. It almost seems that Twitter was designed in the beginning for SMS integration. It evolves around short Tweets and that is really what an SMS is. It is a quick ‘Hello’ or a quick ‘I’m currently doing…’, so it just seems natural that SMS via 02 phones is now available.

Of course, if you are currently a member at Twitter then this is obviously a great additional feature. If you are not then this new feature might just be a big enough advantage for you to sign up!

Lets face it, the Twitter design has been around for quite a while now, so it was due a change. The designers have completely revamped it, although existing members will not notice any difference until they log out of their account. New users who havn’t yet logged into an account will have noticed the page change on 28^th July 2009.

The original concept that Twitter evolved from, was a social networking status portal and community. Of course, since then things have evolved faster than the developers ever imagined, which is why they are constantly updating and redesigning, to ensure that it is fresh. Keeping the site fresh is important. Look at Hi5 and MySpace for instance, they kept their original concept in place and they just seem like a distant memory now.

developers and designers work on making the portal so much better than before. This includes improving the quality of their search results. Of course, this isn’t all, as Twitter are looking more into the idea of engaging and connecting with new people, their ideas, events and useful information.

The great thing about Twitter is that the developers and designers improve the portal based on what people think. They constantly take on board the feedback and ideas they receive, hoping to make Twitter ever more popular in the long run! Not only this but it shows that they are community orientated and are happy to incorporate others ideas!

Obviously Twitter is a site that has huge potential. I mean if I owned the site I’d definitely be looking for ways of making cash and with the amount of traffic they get, they can make lots of it!

There have been various discussions throughout the internet, talking about the possibilities of how they can make their money via monetizing their site. Well it is evident that they are giving it a shot on an extremely discreet and small scale. If you look now, some definitions will have “sponsored definitions”. Of course, sponsored doesn’t mean for charity, it means they are getting paid to post the details of another company on definitions.

As far as anyone knows, the definition sponsorship is being controlled via a third party. It will be Federated Media that sorts out all the ‘definition deals’ for Twitter over the coming months so I’d expect to see more popping up over time!

One thing that has allowed Twitter to grow so fast is the fact that they have not bothered to spam their users with ads. This creates good organic growth and it is only now that they can slowly start filtering the likes of ads and sponsorship deals into circulation. They have worked hard, done a good job, so now they deserve to get paid!

Of course, Twitter hasn’t actually detailed the specifics of their plans for the future, but I’m sure they’ll be more to come. Expect to see more monetization processes being implemented over the coming months.
