Chandigarh fondly known as ‘The City Beautiful’ is one of the famous cities in Punjab. There are some amazingly beautiful places where couples can spend quality time with each other. Gardens and Lake

1. Rock Garden

Towards the north-east region of the city lays the beautiful Rock Garden. Getting around this garden is simply an amazing feeling because you not only get the chance to see the nature’s beauty but also walk along the winding paths of this wonderful garden. Every area of this garden gives you the resplendent look of the nearby waterfalls and streams. Evening or early morning walks at this garden while surely rejuvenate you.

2. Rose Garden (Sector 16)

It is the Asia’s largest rose garden. Every year the Festival of Gardens is held at this venue. The lush garden not only houses 1,600 aromatic varieties of red roses but also various kinds of trees that have medicinal power. The vast area of this garden is big enough for you to have a relaxed chat with your beloved one.

3. Pinjore Gardens

Like the gardens mentioned above, this one is also one of the major crowd pullers located about 20 kilometers from the city center of Chandigarh. During the evening time, the glory of this place can be seen when the sparkling rays of the sun falls on the pool of water. You can easily see the giant Himalayan mountains from any part of this garden.

4. Sukhna Lake

This beautiful lake is situated near the Shivalik hilly region. It also harbors a promenade where you can go for a long walk with your life partner beside the beautiful lake. The scenic beauty and the serenity of this place is what win the hearts of the people who come to this place. During the Mango Festival held usually during the rainy season, all kinds of mangoes are kept for exhibition in this area. An extravagant golf course as situated at one its ends and tourist spot called Rock Garden towards the west.

5. Fun Republic (Manimajra)

Fun Republic is one of the popular shopping malls in Chandigarh. It has an opulent car parking zone. Fun Cinemas multiplex’s four screens will let you see all the latest Bollywood and Hollywood movies. The food zone of this mall has some of the prominent names like Tikka Express, Café Coffee Day and Pizza Hut. When it comes to shopping, you can choose from various brand names like Nike, Pantaloon, Provogue, WestSide, Allen Solly and many more. The Athena pub is also situated in this mall.

6. Centra Mall

It is a two-storied magnificent shopping mall that brings you the international shopping experience with some of the famous brands like Giny & Jony, Dolce and Gabana, Adidas, Reebok, Nike to name a few. It also houses the 4 movie screens of PVR Cinemas multiplex.

7. Khyber Restaurant (Sector-35)

Khyber restaurant’s interior is nothing less than spectacular. It has been well designed with an artificial tree inside the restaurant which makes it look all the more appealing. When you are at this place, make sure you try the Mughlai food items like chicken tandoori, chicken peshawari, kebabs, etc. Vegetarian food items such as vegetable pulav and biryani are also very popular among the visitors. The royal Afghani feeling can be easily felt at this place.

8. Mehfil Hotel and Restaurant (Sector-17)

This restaurant is an eater’s delight as it offers mouth-watering multi-cuisine food. The restaurant is well illuminated with bright lights and the seating arrangement is well taken care of.
