As long as you are an 02 customers you will now have access to two-way interaction with Twitter. This has been made possible by Twitter developers enabling SMS integration, which means you’ll be able to Tweet as much as you like via SMS. Of course, the usual standard rates or bundle packages apply, so check the deal with 02 before you start spamming Twitter itself!

 

Even better is the fact that Twitter is easy to use, especially with the new iPhone. All you will need to do is check your account settings and search for the section that says activate your decide. After you have found this section simply put in the shortcode, which for the UK is 86444. If you are planning to use Twitter regulary, then you might want to save this in your address book for future use.

It almost seems that Twitter was designed in the beginning for SMS integration. It evolves around short Tweets and that is really what an SMS is. It is a quick ‘Hello’ or a quick ‘I’m currently doing…’, so it just seems natural that SMS via 02 phones is now available.
